Utica Zoo Meets the Adirondack Animals


Old Forge Lake Cruises and the Utica Zoo are partnering to bring you a unique wildlife experience in historic Old Forge. Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the Utica Zoo will be on and at Old Forge Lake Cruises (across from the Water Safari) to offer "wild" experiences with some of the Zoo's wild critters. Meet "Wally" the alligator, "Ira" the Burmese python, and "Bob" the Sulcata tortoise. Other familiar new friends will include "Pygwidgon" the screech owl and "Sparky" the American kestrel.

The day will be packed with a carnival of fun activities at Old Forge Lake Cruises including face painting, temporary tattoos, balloons, crafts and the opportunity to meet some of the Adirondack aniamals and get their autographs! Featured speakers for the day will include Beth Irons, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo and other local speakers as well. At the top of every hour, Old Forge Lake Cruises will launch a one hour tour of the 1st lake of the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Kids ride FREE when accompanied by an adult. Proceeds to benefit the Utica Zoo.
