Zilpha’ joins Old Forge Lake Cruises

Old Forge Lake Cruises has a new addition to its fleet of boats on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. In addition to the Clearwater tour boat and The President Harrison mail boat, the company will now operate “Zilpha,” as well. This new boat is 45 feet long and 12 feet wide and weighs in at 13 tons.. It was built in Louisiana in 1994 and was used on the Mississippi River. In 2008, the boat was moved to North Carolina, and now its new home will be on the Fulton Chain of Lakes in Old Forge. Old Forge Lake Cruises is expanding its services this year. In addition to the two hour, 22-mile sightseeing cruises offered on the Clearwater, several new cruises will take place on Zilpha. Zilpha will be used for the Heritage Lunch Cruise, Sunday Brunch Cruise, shopping trips to Inlet, Fourth Lake Cruise, fundraisers, smaller groups tours, and private charters. Old Forge Lake Cruises operates cruises, tours, and charters from Memorial Day Weekend through the weekend after Columbus Day weekend.
